Our Lady of Mount Carmel School was founded in 1962. We will soon be celebrating our 50 year anniversary. The school was staffed by the Sisters of the Divine Spirit from its opening until 1990. The founding pastor was Msgr. Joseph Scheffner followed by Fr. Thomas Fialkowski, Msgr. Bruce Allison and presently, Fr. Raymond Hahn. We are a pre-school through grade 8 program, offering many extra-curricular opportunities including a variety of athletics. The school is located on 28 acres, staffed by 15 certified teachers with an average experience in education of over 16 years. Two additions were added to our school over the years. In 1992, the present multi-purpose-room (lunchroom), library and kindergarten were built. In 1997, a new wing housing our pre-school, music and computer lab were added.  Our school is wireless and we are in the process of further up-dates. We have been Middle States Accredited since 1983. We ar now up for re-accreditation in 2012.
