At Our Lady of Mount Carmel School handwriting is important and it is one of the goals for our Middle States accreditation program. It is a form of lifetime communication. Grades K-8 use the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting program. It teaches the five keys of legibility, shape, size, spacing and slant. These are presented in an easy, step-by-step approach. Grades 1-8 participate in the Zaner=Bloser handwriting contest yearly. We have had many state winners.
