Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrate in second grade. The focus of this sacrament is on God’s mercy and willingness to always forgive us. The children learn the Act of contrition and the Ten commandments as part of their preparation, which is rooted in sacramental theology. It includes the elements of ritual, prayer, Scripture and doctrine. The Sacrament of reconciliation is celebrated in February.

First Communion

The Sacrament of First Communion is celebrated in 3rd grade. It takes place the first week-end in May. The sacrament marks becoming a fully participating member of the church. The children go through a formal religious educational program in preparation for receiving the host.
