The first year in school is a great adventure away from home for children, and it is very important for later achievement in school. It is the goal of kindergarten to provide a basic foundation for your child’s education. Our program will provide opportunities for social and emotional development, inspire language development, nurture their faith, and expand physical and mental growth.

Kindergarten at Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a full-day program. Students spend their day reading, writing, counting, learning about God, singing, creating, and listening to stories. Students also have the opportunity to attend music, gym, library, computer, and Spanish and art classes. Special programs in kindergarten include a class mascot that visits each child’s home for the week-end and a Guest Reader program that allows you to read to the class.
