The Student Council at Our Lady of Mount Carmel exists to provide leadership opportunities,social experiences and service to the student body and wider community. The student councilofficers and representatives are elected by the student body. The council meets monthlyto discuss ideas and create activities that promote school spirit while helping others. Somegreat examples include a recent movie and popcorn day. The students at OLMC were giventhe chance to dress down and watch a movie on the big screen while enjoying popcorn.Students were asked to donate one dollar which was sent to the john Kanzius Cancer ResearchFoundation. The students who participate in this organization feel a sense of accomplishmentand pride in their school and community.

 

Students who wish to be part of Student Council must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a C avrage
  • Be willing to work extra hours
  • Be able to communicate ideas and activities to students and adults
  • Parental permission to join Student Council
